Finding your Niche News site – The Other News Source.
By Joshua Penman
A lot of the news these days found in some or other news source(s) can be more fab, or popular and even what seems to be controversial or entertaining.
I propose looking at the other news stories out there. Not just the basic ‘happy news’ sites but really wants to focus on good quality down to earth news.
With that I recommended doing a little online research and finding sites that have appeal outside of the mainstream news media.
There is a growing trend for specialized news sites from sources other than normal news channels that are targeted to a more ‘common’ viewpoint that I believe we all share.
The topics vary, but news other than mainstream news, more topical news finds its way into the hearts, minds and web searches looking for other niche news sites online more and more each day.
Some websites offering news that I would recommend are for the economy minded: www.TheEconomicNewsSource.com, for those that want to stay ‘on top of the news’ check out www.OnTopofTheNews.net even www.TheOtherNewsSource.com might be worth a view.
There are many sites that cover many news topics other than the norm: Earth, Green or Eco, Economy, Money or Currency, just local news,
There are many to choose from, bookmark, add rss feeds to your feed reader. Many ways to stay on top of the news that you really want to be reading about and seeing on a daily basis.
So start searching for your niche news site and enjoy.

Learn About Fox News Live Feed
By suegold
Among the standard “must have” channels among subscribers of cable or satellite TV services who are concerned about local as well as international news is Fox News. This news channel really lives up to its motto, “We report, you decide”, reporting events as they happen as objectively as humanly possible (except in the occasional editorial portion). It reports on anything and everything under the sun that is newsworthy to the majority of its viewing and listening public, from National News, to International News, local news, business and finance, politics, entertainment, sports, and just about everything else that needs to be made known publicly.
Thanks to the pervasiveness of the Internet, you do not even have to be in front of your television set at home to be able to get the latest news from this worldwide leader in news reportage. Among the sites that you can visit to get Fox News Live Feed is, of course, foxnews site! You simply direct your browser to the said site and choose among the many options available, including streaming video of the slightly delayed Fox News Live feed that you would normally see on the television screen.
Unfortunately, Fox News decided to stop this very useful feed to the detriment of millions of Internet users who had no access to cable or satellite TV. As a poor alternative, by clicking the VIDEOS button of the website, you have the option to view several multimedia files of various interesting topics at your convenience. This option, of course, provides dated information and is not the same as seeing the news as it (almost) happens.
In January, Fox News introduced a new service that enables anyone with a cell phone in the United States to access Fox News Live Feed in audio format. The monthly subscription fee for this service is $2.99. Additional per minute charges for this service applies. Cellular subscribers just have to dial “#FOXN” on their mobile phones to access this service which is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
While this is a good alternative to get the news, and has picked up some interest, it still falls short of the “color” that comes when video is shown together with the audio news. One critique is that, since it is a paid service rather than being free, then the content should be structured in such a way that it becomes immediately informative so that the resulting cost will not be so high.
There are several blog sites that lament the fact that Fox News has ceased to offer live feeds of its news programs, in concert with similar moves by the other major news networks. These sites express distress and disappointment over the fact that the need for breaking news in areas where there is no access to Fox News and similar news channels via cable or satellite TV. While Fox News has somehow addressed this issue with their live audio feeds via cell phones, this is not a free service and is audio exclusive. There are suggestions being made that Fox News revives their live feed broadcast via the Internet, even if this will be via membership with appropriate and reasonable service fees charged.
